Why Entech Wednesday: Scott Epstein
About Scott
The most important thing to me has always been my family. My extraordinary wife (Bethamie, who everyone thanks for putting up with me), my amazing girls (Madison and Jaelyn), and my dog (Kona) – you are the sunshine in my life every day. I am a sports enthusiast; at home, I am typically screaming at the television cheering on all Philadelphia sports teams or playing video games. When I am not at home, I am usually on the road traveling with my daughters as they are competitive cheerleaders for a local gym. Seeing them compete with desire, grit, and determination makes me smile after every competition. I also enjoy traveling, hanging out with friends, and watching movies. I have a deep love for music, and I enjoy going to concerts. One of my favorite bands is Pearl Jam, who I have seen perform over 31 times live.
Why Scott chose Entech
I graduated from Temple University with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I started my teaching career in South Philadelphia and was there for three years before my career took me to Quality Assurance. My first job as a Software Quality Assurance Tester was for a company that was the leading provider of innovative club management software. Over 1200 private and semi-private country clubs around the country used their software. From there, I moved on to a pharmaceutical company as a QA Lead / Manager. As is common in pharma, the company was acquired by a much larger company. I took on the world of mobile devices and cloud services as a Quality Assurance Specialist prior to coming to Entech. One of the main reasons I chose Entech was to get to work with a great group of people at a company that focused on the quality of software they deliver. I have been with Entech since September 2018, and I have been a part of unbelievable creativity and excellence. Every day is an opportunity for a new experience. Working at Entech has been exciting and truly motivating.
